Sydney Everson is an author and recovering lawyer. A native of Washington D.C., Sydney received an exceptional education at a school on the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral - an environment that inspired and cultivated her love of creative writing.
She went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts from The College of William & Mary and eventually set aside her passion for writing to follow a more "practical" career path as a lawyer. After receiving a J.D. from Washington & Lee University, she practiced commercial construction litigation for a number of years until a mix of dissatisfaction with legal practice and a bouncing baby boy led her to part from her career as a lawyer and focus on family and a few entrepreneurial endeavors.
Life led her and her family to a lovely small town amidst a great big suburb where she volunteered her time writing articles for the town newsletter. A local creative writing group invited her to join their ranks and the power and passion of the written word reawakened her long forgotten love of writing fiction. Inspired once more, she embarked on a new, and perfectly practical, career as an author.
She now lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and son.
